SZA will join Kendrick Lamar as a special guest performer for this year's Super Bowl Halftime show. Apple Music shared a new teaser for the Halftime performance confirming SZA's appearance.
This comes as no surprise. The former TDE artists will also be embarking on tour together, titled the Grand National Tour. The tour kicks off on April 19th in Minneapolis and will hit stadiums around the United States and Canada.
Kendrick and SZA also frequently collaborate. Most recently, SZA featured Lamar on the SOS Deluxe: LANA track "30 For 30". In 2024, they collaborated on "gloria" and "luther", two cuts from Kendrick's GNX. Other collaborations between the two include "Doves In The Wind", "Babylon", and the Black Panther soundtrack cut "All The Stars".
Earlier this month, SZA talked about making a joint album with Lamar. On daytime talk show Sherri, she said, "I would love that. I think that would be amazing. He's such a genius. And a part of his genius is like him being so elusive and so mysterious and I love it."
