Yesterday, 24 November, Drake made a surprise appearance on Twitch streamer XQC’s livestream. During his stay, the rapper took the opportunity to throw shade at several artists, as well as light up several ongoing beefs.
The Toronto native first took aim at Kendrick Lamar, saying “You need facts to take me out. Fairy tales won’t do it,” similar to his sentiments on his diss track “The Heart Part 6”.
Lamar, who recently shadow-dropped his latest album GNX to critical acclaim, reacted to these accusations, as we see in a screenshot of a chat that Reli, a close friend of his, shared on Instagram Stories – “He trippin??!” – the Californian rapper texted him.
Steve Lacy was also caught in the midst of the 6 God’s round of shots at other industry names during XQC’s broadcast, calling Lacy a “fragile opp,” but admitting that “Bad Habit” is a “good song though.”
The “Dark Red” singer's first reaction was one of surprise, posting a selfie on Instagram with the caption “WAITTTTTT LMAOOOO WHAT IN THE.”
He also took it to Instagram Stories, where he shared a post from Complex highlighting the comments made on XQC’s stream.
An hour later, he posted again, this time, making fun of the OVO hitmaker’s statements, “who tryna be my…fragile opp 🤤.”
The Weeknd is yet to make any comments on the matter, as his collaborative song with Daft Punk "I Feel It Coming" played in the background during the livestream, prompting Drake to request to switch the song.
