In an Instagram post, Mimi Valdés, the wife of recently passed rapper Ka, announced that there will be a public gathering August 12-16 in New York City to celebrate his life and career. This will include a pop-up shop with merchandise. A preorder link will go live online too, with worldwide delivery.

Dear Listeners: Thank you so much for all the kindness and support these past months, it warms my heart tremendously. Y’all are a special community, and I’m forever grateful for the good energy you send my way. It compliments the love our family and friends have wrapped around me.
The public gathering to celebrate Ka will be held August 12 - 16 in NYC, including a pop-up shop with merchandise.
A pre-order link for a few items will go live soon, but only for a limited time. Worldwide delivery will be available, but orders will not ship until August. Still very much DIY over here, so your patience is extremely appreciated.
And yes, they’ll also be some exclusive items available only at the event.
As for Ka’s remaining vinyl (Thief, Languish, Woeful, Martyr’s), it will only be sold to winners of a daily lottery during these August dates. You or a friend must pick-up in person at the event (some exceptions may be considered). More details to come, but entering this lottery includes writing a short essay so make sure your pen is extra sharp! 😉
