Experimental electronic composer, producer, and Buchla synth specialist Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith has announced the follow-up to her 2022 album Let's Turn it Into Sound. The new LP, GUSH, will be released August 22 on Nettwerk.

More details are to come, but the first single, "Into Your Eyes", is out now. Listen below:

On the new material, Smith had this to say:

It is about sensuality and personification…

Smith, a classically trained composer and producer, is known for the aforementioned Buchla synthesizer, which is a relatively rare and complex synth. And while she hasn't released a full-length LP since 2022, she hasn't been idle, either. Last year, she released a collaborative EP with Hot Chip's Joe Goddard, called Neptunes. She also provided the original score for the 2024 film Omni Loop, starring Mary-Louise Parker and Ayo Edebiri.

GUSH is out August 22.
