Justin Timberlake, the 43-year-old singer who needs no introduction, briefly acknowledged his recent DWI arrest during a concert in Chicago on Friday evening.
Mentioning a challenging week, Timberlake expressed gratitude to the audience for their support through thick and thin. Emotionally, he thanked the crowd for their unwavering love, acknowledging his own flaws.
In a fan video shared by Consequence, Timberlake said:
“We’ve been together through ups and downs, lefts and rights. It’s been a tough week, but you’re here and I’m here, and nothing can change this moment right now.”
Timberlake added while fighting back tears:
“I know sometimes I’m hard to love, but you keep on loving me and I love you right back. Thank you so much.”
The incident leading to Timberlake's arrest occurred in Sag Harbor, Long Island, in the early hours of Tuesday. Reports state he was pulled over for disregarding a stop sign and erratic driving. Upon taking a field sobriety test, Timberlake declined to complete a breathalyzer, admitting to consuming a single martini.
