Irish noise pop outfit Just Mustard dropped their intense new track "Endless Deathless" today, the latest peek from their upcoming LP WE WERE JUST HERE, out on Partisan Records October 24th.
Watch the music video (directed by band member David Noonan) below:
Just Mustard, a quintet formed by Katie Ball, Noonan, Mete Kalyoncuoğlu, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire, recorded WE WERE JUST HERE at Black Mountain studio just outside of the band’s hometown. It was produced by Noonan and the band, and mixed by David Wrench (Frank Ocean, FKA twigs). Instead of using more electronic music as a launchpad, the group opted for a more traditional band-oriented sound this time around.
“The vocal structure was the most important thing,” Noonan comments. Ball's vocals rise higher above the mix than before, piercing a sense of relish and joy through the group's signature wails of noise. “I was trying to write more optimistically, and feeling like a fraud sometimes," she says. "To put myself in places of physical joy to try and get that euphoric feeling."
Prior to "Endless Deathless", Just Mustard released "POLLYANNA" and the title track of the album.
