Joji comes back from hiatus with new single "PIXELATED KISSES"

Three years after the release of SMITHEREENS, Joji has returned with the new single "PIXELATED KISSES", written, produced, and recorded by the singer himself.

The song features crushing bass tones and synths (reminiscent of a rage beat) that contrast with Joji's signature laid-back hook, resulting in an interesting contrast. The tune is accompanied by a visualizer directed and edited by mamesjao, which you can watch below:

This marks his first release under a new music company called Palace Creek, which fans speculate is Joji's own record label, as its logo was sent to fans via email yesterday. Their social media presence is small and somewhat recent. The distribution is exclusively handled by Virgin Music under Universal Music Group (UMG).

The alt-R&B singer surprise-announced the track yesterday with an Instagram post of a vibrant-red billboard with Joji's name on a jagged font that read "SEE YOU TOMORROW".
