Jello Biafra auctioning 1989 Toyota Celica GT to benefit record label

Punk legend Jello Biafra is selling his daily driver, which he's used to cruise in the San Francisco area since 1995. Biafra's 1989 Toyota Celica convertible, with 212,000 miles, is being auctioned on Hemmings.

The auction listing notes that the car has accumulated "a natural punk rock patina that can only be gained on the streets of the San Francisco Bay Area." During his ownership, Biafra played demos from countless punk bands on the Celica's sound system. Proceeds from the sale will go towards Biafra's indie record label, Alternative Tentacles.

The Dead Kennedys founding member and former frontman has offered a bonus to the winner: whoever buys the Celica can take delivery in the Bay Area, and Biafra will drive the new owner around some of his favorite historic sites. As it's a no reserve auction, someone will take the car home after the auction ends on December 20th.
