Jeff Buckley lands first song on Billboard Hot 100

After over three decades, "Lover, You Should've Come Over" by the late Jeff Buckley has wound up on Billboard's Hot 100. The song, originally released in 1994 on his only studio record, Grace, debuted at the 97 spot for the week of January 31.

This, predictably, came about from the attention "Lover, You Should've Come Over" has been receiving on TikTok. While the song is only now reaching the charts, its popularity on TikTok has been building for years.

Random as it seems from the outside, Buckley is just one in an ever-growing list of artists getting an unpredictable boost from TikTok, which includes the likes of Pavement and Imogen Heap, the latter of which also saw her first inclusion on the Hot 100 with the track "Headlock".
