British musician James Blake has announced a new album, Trying Times. His first solo album since 2023's Playing Robots Into Heaven, the record is out on March 13th via Good Boy Records.

The first single, "Death of Love", is out now. Along with the studio version, Blake has also released a live performance video of the single, which you can watch below.

In the video, the musician is accompanied by members of the experimental vocal ensemble Shards.

Trying Times will be Blakes' seventh studio album. According to Rough Trade's website, it is "a record about being in love whilst battling the limits of the self against a backdrop of global uncertainty," and an exploration of the tension between intimacy and isolation.
