Jack White condemns Trump's racist Truth Social post

Jack White, rock musician and he of White Stripes fame, has long been an outspoken critic of incumbent U.S. president Donald Trump. In a recent post on Truth Social, Trump shared a video which depicted former president Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, as apes. He deleted the clip after widespread bipartisan blowback.

"This post would basically get anyone, at any job fired immediately," White wrote in a thorough condemnation, which included a broader commentary on the anomalistic atrocities of Trump and his leadership.

"It's hard to believe the government does almost nothing about this lunacy and we just all have to sit back and watch as a people," White continued, ending his screed with a reminder that "this sick, deranged man [...] has his tiny, bruised fingers on the nuclear launch button."
