On March 11, Jack Osbourne took to Instagram with a quiet but meaningful announcement: a new daughter had arrived, and she carries a name that means everything to the family.
“Introducing Ozzy Matilda Osbourne,” he captioned a short video of the newborn, alongside a card noting she was born March 5, weighing 7 pounds, 12 ounces and measuring 19 inches.
The post was shared by Jack’s wife, Aree Osbourne, and his mother, Sharon Osbourne.
At 40, Jack is now the father of five daughters. He shares Pearl, 13, Andy, 10, and Minnie, 8, with ex-wife Lisa Stelly, and he and Aree are also parents to Maple, 3.
But the name, of course, carries weight.
The baby arrives months after the death of Jack’s father, the legendary Ozzy Osbourne, who died in July 2025 at age 76, reportedly following a heart attack. Few figures in heavy music cast a shadow as long as Ozzy’s, the wild-eyed frontman who helped shape an entire genre and then somehow survived long enough to become rock’s most unlikely patriarch.
Ozzy leaves behind six children. With Sharon, he shared Jack, Kelly Osbourne, and Aimee Osbourne. From his earlier marriage to Thelma Riley, he had three more: Louis Osbourne, Jessica Osbourne, and Elliot Kingsley.
And now, not even a year later, the name Ozzy lives on again.
