J. Cole announces Dreamville Festival 2025

J. Cole's Dreamville Festival is officially returning to North Carolina next year.

The festival, which was started by J. Cole and his Dreamville label in 2019, has welcomed many exciting acts in the past, including SZA, Drake, and, of course, Cole himself. Now, Dreamville has announced via a dreamy Instagram video that their 5th annual festival is coming back to Raleigh, North Carolina on April 5 & 6, 2025.

No details about the lineup have been announced, but the Instagram video includes a snippet from "Ready '24", Cole's recent collaboration with Harlem legend, Cam'ron.

Last year's Dreamville Festival was headlined by J. Cole, who infamously used the opportunity to apologize for his song, "7 Minute Drill". The track, which is from his most recent project, Might Delete Later, is a response to Kendrick Lamar's diss towards him and Drake:

I got a phone call, they say that somebody dissin' / You want some attention, it come with extensions

During his set, Cole admitted that he regretted releasing the track, calling it "the lamest shit I ever did in my fucking life." He went on:

"That shit don’t sit right with my spirit. That shit disrupts my fucking peace. So what I want to say right here tonight... how many people think Kendrick Lamar is one of the greatest motherfuckers to ever touch a fucking microphone? Dreamville, y’all love Kendrick Lamar, correct? As do I.”

Cole later removed "7 Minute Drill" from Might Delete Later.

Presale for the 5th annual Dreamville Festival begins on December 11, 9am EST. Learn more at dreamvillefest.com.
