New York technical experimental metal outfit Imperial Triumphant are back with a brand new track, “Hotel Sphinx,” alongside music video directed by bassist Steve Blanco. 

The song features what we’ve come to know the trio for: extreme metal with guttural vocals, zesty jazz structuring, and other influences that’ve made them such a profound force in the genre. What is different is that this is a more melodic track, contrasting from their usual dissonance style. The music video is fun and weird, featuring marionette puppets and horse dolls. This follows the release of their previous single and video, “Eye of Mars,” released a couple of months ago.
