Ima Robot, the LA dance-punk outfit led by Alex Ebert (pre–Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros), have announced the release of an unearthed lost LP from nearly two decades ago titled Search and Destroy, due out November 14 via Community Music.
Along with the announcement, the band shared its opening and title track, “Search and Destroy”. Listen:
Ebert had this to say about the album:
“In a lot of ways, this stuff sounds like the original Ima Robot, the pre-signed fuck-it. There's a lightness to the whole thing. It feels more like the original concept, a reclaiming of the initial vibe.”
