Reykjavík-based pianist and post-classical composer Eydís Evensen has shared new single “Helena’s Sunrise” as the first look at her upcoming third album, Oceanic Mirror, out 10 October via XXIM/Sony.
Written for her niece Helena Sól, it's one of 13 pieces on the album, which is said to feature contributions from as-yet-unnamed “compelling artistic collaborators.

Perhaps as a further clue to its contents, the album artwork for Oceanic Mirror is bursting with colour, in stark contrast to her previous black-and-white covered records Bylur (2021) and The Light (2023).

Tickets are now on sale for Evensen's European and North American tour dates. She'll also play next month at Gent Jazz Festival in Belgium. Full list of shows below:
