iamamiwhoami’s ‘BLUE’ to get 10th anniversary ‘STILL BLUE’ expansion and celebratory tour

Swedish artist ionnalee is marking the tenth anniversary of the third iamamiwhoami audiovisual album BLUE with an expanded reissue including a new song “still blue”, along with the first physical release of the song “dive” and an interlude and bridges previously only available digitally.

“This extended album is a celebration of the era that changed everything for me and how it continues to live in new shapes even a decade later,” she said in an Instagram post announcing the limited-edition release.

Following the release of BLUE in November 2014, iamamiwhoami went on hiatus and the ionnalee solo project was born. “BLUE was the first album where I allowed myself to just sing with my voice,” she said in an interview last year to mark the release of her most recent album CLOSE YOUR EYES (described as a sequel of sorts to BLUE) and its Swedish-language companion BLUND. “It had been so important for me to distort myself and not be visible in the beginning, and that was amazing because I’d wanted to escape from myself. But after a while, you know, I just wanted to write songs that I could sing as myself.”
