The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating the discovery of a decomposing body inside an impounded Tesla registered to 20-year-old singer d4vd, according to ABC News.

Officers were called shortly before 12:30 p.m. on Monday, September 8, to a tow yard in Hollywood after reports of a foul odor coming from the vehicle. Inside the Tesla’s front trunk, police found human remains sealed in a bag.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, and it remains unclear how the body ended up in the car.

d4vd, born David Anthony Burke, is currently on his Withered world tour, with a scheduled stop in Minneapolis tonight. He rose to fame with his viral singles "Here With Me" and "Romantic Homicide", which led to his signing with Darkroom and Interscope Records.
