Horsegirl announce new Cate Le Bon-produced album ‘Phonetics On and On’

NYC-based trio Horsegirl have announced the Valentine’s Day release of their second album Phonetics On and On, produced by Cate Le Bon, vvia Matador. Recorded back in their hometown of Chicago in the depths of winter, the 11-track album offers a more spacious iteration of Nora Cheng, Penelope Lowenstein, and Gigi Reece’s brand of playfully experimental indie-pop.

They have also released a video for lead single "2468". Watch the video below, directed by writer and filmmaker Eliza Callahan with charmingly wonky choreography by Alexa West:

Written almost entirely in the studio, lead single "2468" captures this extended sense of exploration perfectly, stacking up layers of violin and percussion to build a leaning tower of off-kilter eccentricity.

Phonetics On and On tracklist:

1. Where’d You Go
2. Rock City
3. In Twos
4. 2468
5. Well I Know You’re Shy
6. Julie
7. Switch
8. Information Content
9. Frontrunner
10. Sport Meets Sound
11. I Can’t Stand to See You
