Home Front lean into 80's new wave on latest single “Between The Waves”

Home Front, the Edmonton, Alberta-based synth-punk outfit, are gearing up to release their sophomore LP Watch It Die later this week. Today, the band has shared its final pre-release single, “Between The Waves”.

Listen below:

The track marks a subtle shift in sound, leaning further into ‘80s new wave territory, with shimmering synths, laser-like effects, and even a touch of The Smiths in its mood and melody.

The band had this to say about the single:

“'Between The Waves' is about that lonely journey we all take at some point in our lives. Where we wander away from the numbers to seek meaning. A solitary space between connecting with people. Call it growing up or growing apart, but this is the place we all visit from time to time to remember who we are. In all this confusion the space between the waves is where we discover things will never be the same again, yet we move forward in this new skin."
