Heatmiser to release 30th anniversary edition of 'Mic City Sons'

Mic City Sons, the third and final album from Heatmiser, will receive a 30th anniversary edition double LP, featuring demos and unreleased tracks. The 1996 project, viewed by many as Heatmiser's best, came out as band member Elliott Smith grew in popularity as a solo artist – his self-titled album and Either/Or sandwich the release of Mic City Sons.

Two years ago, Heatmiser reissued their demo cassette, The Music of Heatmiser, through Third Man Records. Third Man is also responsible for this upcoming re-release, which pairs nicely with the 1992 demo as an additional bookend to the band's career.
