Secretly Distribution has signed a global distribution deal with Hayley Williams’s label Post Atlantic. The partnership will cover physical and digital distribution, marketing, and support for all releases.
As part of the deal, Secretly will distribute the physical edition of Williams’s latest album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party on November 7th. The record is her first independent release following the end of her Atlantic Records contract, both solo and with Paramore. Williams and Paramore announced their departure from the major-label system in 2024, calling it a move toward “fresh independence.”
Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party was originally digitally released through William's website on July 23rd.
Williams commented on her decision:
I chose to go with Secretly because one of the founders told me they'd always be independent because his co-founder 'would never take the money' and that just made my little punk rock heart sing. What a luxury to be able to sort of start my career over in this way, with more connectedness amongst the team. And ownership for the first time ever.
Evan Whikehard of Secretly Distribution added:
It is a thrill to work with Hayley Williams and her team on this incredible album and creative campaign. The fact that such an accomplished and iconic artist elected to self-release with Secretly Distribution and our Label Services team is a testament to the growing power of independence in the music industry today. We're honored to support a generation-defining musician and her tremendous work.
