Grizzly Bear announce first live shows in six years

Grizzly Bear are back. The beloved indie rock quartet — Ed Droste, Daniel Rossen, Chris Bear, and Chris Taylor — have announced their first North American headlining tour since 2019, along with vinyl reissues of their last four albums.

Though they never necessarily broke up, the band has been quiet for six years while members pursued solo projects, film scores, and, in Droste’s case, a new career as a therapist. Now they return for a short, seven-date tour kicking off October 13 with three nights at Brooklyn Steel, followed by stops in Chicago, L.A., San Francisco, and Oakland.

A press release for the tour reads: “Because Grizzly Bear never broke up, their first shows in six years are not a reunion. They are a simultaneous point of arrival and departure, their next destination still unknown."

Pre-sales begin May 28, with general on-sale starting May 30.

Alongside the tour, Yellow House, Veckatimest, Shields, and Painted Ruins are being reissued on colored vinyl, available October 17. Preorder links are available on their website.
