Gorillaz share tracks with Bizarrap, Kara Jackson, and more ahead of new album

We've already heard quite a bit from Gorillaz's new album, but, a month out from its release, Damon Albarn and company gave us yet another taste. Today, the group has released the tracks "The Hardest Thing", featuring Tony Allen, and "Orange County", featuring Bizarrap, Kara Jackson, and Anoushka Shankar.

Check out the music video for both tracks below.

The late Tony Allen, an Afrobeat pioneer, was a longtime friend of Albarn's and opens up "The Hardest Thing" with a spoken word bit. Bizarrap's beats in "Orange County" continue to show the group's admiration for Argentine hip-hop – they have also collaborated with rapper Trueno in the track "The Manifesto", released back in October –, and indie folk crooner Kara Jackson handles the vocals for the track.

The singles are part of Gorillaz's album The Mountain, their first LP since 2023, which is set to be released on February 27th. Before these two, the band had released the singles "The Manifesto", "The Happy Dictator" featuring Sparks, "The God Of Lying" featuring IDLES, and "Damascus" featuring Omar Souleyman and Yasiin Bey ahead of the new record.

In addition to the features on the newest songs, The Mountain also features The Fall's Mark E. Smith, The Smiths' Johnny Marr, Black Thought, and many other collaborators.
