Good Sleepy share hard-hitting new track “ZZZ” from forthcoming LP 'Constant Humming'

Ricky Adams

Good Sleepy, the Worcester, MA emo connoisseurs, know their stuff. They employ twinkly guitar riffs, nostalgia-soaked throwbacks, and raw, heart-on-sleeve lyricism, and they’re bringing all of it to their newly announced second LP, Constant Humming, out February 13.

Today, the band dropped “ZZZ”, another hard-hitting single from the record, following the previously released lead single “TRAP”. They shared this about the track:

“With our first single, ‘TRAP’, we were focused on releasing a song that was familiar to our fanbase, while also showcasing a development in our sound. "ZZZ" feels like a step in a different direction for us, being the result of lots of new influences that we have had since our last LP. It's fast-paced, fun, and hard-hitting all the way through. We had a blast playing this song on tour over the summer and seeing people move to it. It's definitely one of our favorites off of the album, we're stoked to finally be getting it out there.”

Constant Humming was self-recorded over the past four years and marks the band’s first LP since they all graduated high school. Bassist and vocalist Thomas Sullivan added this about the album:

"It’s been a long time since we released a full-length record. We’ve grown in our sound quite a bit since our last album and feel that this song encapsulates our future direction very well, while also pushing some of the more raw, familiar elements that are present in our previous releases."
