Philadelphia-based indie rock band Golden Apples have announced their latest studio album Shooting Star, out September 19 via Lame-O Records.
Accompanying the album's announcement, the group released the first single from the project, "Noonday Demon". Watch/listen below:
Each song was recorded in its own unique way. No two songs were recorded in the same place by the same musicians. The Bandcamp page describes the album as a "patchwork of collaborations in a variety of recording locales." The record was mixed by Matthew Schimelfenig.
Russell Edling, the band's frontman, explains the meaning behind the first single:
"'Noonday Demon' addresses the way anxiety and paranoia can make you sort of lose track of yourself and your identity - turning your world upside down and alienating you from the people around you at the same time."
The band will also be setting out on a few tour dates. Catch those down below.
