Girlpool’s Harmony releases music video for “No Romeo”, along with debut LP announcement

Will Floyd

Following a string of singles, Harmony Tividad (formerly of Girlpool) has released a music video for a new song, “No Romeo”. The music video accompanies the announcement of the artist's debut LP, Gossip, due out October 11 under her label Harmony’s Fantasy Corp. Watch the video here:

According to Harmony, the album will be "an exploration of different angles of virtue."

2023 was the formal beginning of the project, with Harmony releasing the EP Dystopia last August. The songs represented a stylistic shift away from the indie rock of Girlpool, towards a more electronic pop direction harkening back to 2010’s dance-pop like Kesha and Lady Gaga.

In the video for “No Romeo”, a dinner party with friends descends into Saltburn-esque bacchanalia. According to the credits Harmony “directed, styled, and edited” the video herself, with clothing supplied by Los Angeles Apparel. She cites Baz Luhrmann and Gossip Girl as inspirations for the aesthetic.

In 2022 Harmony’s former band Girlpool broke up amicably after nine years. They were among the more prominent bands to come out of the Los Angeles DIY indie scene.

Gossip is out October 11 via Harmony's Fantasy Corp. Check the tracklist below:
