Veteran rapper Ghostface Killah has announced that a sequel to his critically acclaimed 2000 record Supreme Clientele is finally ready. After teasing for nearly a decade, Supreme Clientele 2 is set to release on August 22 via Mass Appeal.
The record's first single, "Rap Kingpin," includes production from New York producer Scram Jones. Listen to the new single here:
"Rap Kingpin" is a boastful rap romp that samples Eric B and Rakim's "My Melody" and Ghostface's very own Supreme Clientele track "Mighty Healthy". This is the Staten Island emcee's first song following his 2024 project Set the Tone (Guns & Roses).
The album is part of Mass Appeal's "Legend Has It" campaign, where they'll release seven records by rap greats including Mobb Deep, De La Soul, and Slick Rick.
According to a press release, Supreme Clientele 2's 22-song tracklist includes guest appearances from Nas, Conway the Machine, Styles P, M.O.P., Dave Chappelle, Redman, and Wu-Tang crewmates Raekwon, Method Man, and GZA.
"Supreme Clientele was a frame of mind and era in time," says Ghostface Killah in a statement. "You could never duplicate that feeling, but you can tap back in. We dug in the files from years ago and pulled together a Clientele that is Supreme! Get ready: Supreme Clientele 2 is now.”
There is no revealed tracklist as of yet.
