2025 was another vintage year for Swedish musical exports, as this year’s Swedish Grammi nominations attest. Now in its 43rd edition, the Swedish version of “music’s biggest night” will take place in Stockholm on April 29 and livestreamed on YouTube.

Leading the pack of nominees is Ghost, whose sixth album Skeletá is up for Album of the Year and Hard Rock/Metal Album of the Year, while the band's Tobias Forge (along with co-writers Max Grahn, Vincent Pontare, and Salem Al Fakir) is nominated in the Composer of the Year, Producer of the Year, Lyricist of the Year, and Artist of the Year categories.

Next up are Viagra Boys with four nominations, including Album of the Year and Lyricist of the Year for Sebastian Murphy, while Anna von Hausswolff and Boko Yout have three nominations each.

Other nominees who have made a splash internationally in 2025 include Zara Larsson (up for Artist of the Year and Pop Album of the Year), Ludwig Göransson (nominated for his soundtrack to Sinners), and Elvira Anderfjärd, who co-wrote, co-produced, and played on Addison Rae’s Addison. 

Swedish-language artists like Lisa Nilsson, Veronica Maggio, Miriam Bryant, and Nektar also feature highly, as does Swedish-Kurdish duo BIJI, while Yung Lean, The Hives, Deki Alem, HNNY, and Little Dragon’s Yukimi are among the other names who round out this year’s nominees.
