At My Chemical Romance's San Antonio date, frontman Gerard Way suggested that a new album may be in the works.

MCR's last proper release was 2010's Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys. Since the polarizing LP, the band has released various singles, broken up, and reunited. The group's most recent track was 2022's "The Foundations of Decay." In a brief intermission before the end of the show on Saturday night, Way told the Alamodome:

"We should probably make more songs. [The Foundations of Decay] was really awesome; let's keep doing it. Stuff happens, life happens, but just know that we kind of really always wanted to make another record. You guys kept us alive so long; you guys deserve another record, and we'd love to make it."

MCR's last North American dates of their The Black Parade tour will take place at the Hollywood Bowl in October. The group will then move to the international dates of the celebratory tour.
