Geese win their first award at the BRITs

Geese have accomplished many unexpected feats in the last several months, so it's only fitting they're an American act who received their first honor at the BRIT Awards. What's more, drummer Max Bassin accepted the trophy for International Group of the Year by exclaiming onstage, "Free Palestine, fuck ICE, go Geese!"

They beat out HAIM, HUNTR/X, Tame Impala, and Turnstile for the award.

February 2026 was a busy month for the band even compared to their recent string of wins, with a live album released yesterday (Live at Third Man Records), and a Tiny Desk Concert for NPR. Watch Bassin's brief and iconic BRIT acceptance speech below and you can order the new live album from Third Man here.
