Geese made their SNL debut

Dan Weiss

Geese had a bigger year than any rock band since who knows when, once Cameron Winter's very late 2024 solo bow Heavy Metal picked up viral steam and positioned them for something as explosive as, well, a bomb in your car once their third full-length Getting Killed redefined critical acclaim in the fall.

Winter made some kind of history selling out Carnegie Hall at age 23 like only three solo artists before him (one was Bob Dylan), and Saturday Night Live included a brief impression spoofing him in a late-December sketch led by host Ariana Grande.

So naturally the 2025 MVPs were on deck as one of 2026's first SNL musical guests, and last night they showed off both ends of Getting Killed's musical spectrum: the yearning delicacy of "Au Pays du Cocaine", and the Minneapolis-predicting terrorist fever dream "Trinidad", which was intense as it's ever been.

You can watch both performances below, along with some quite funny promos they cut with host Teyana Taylor and cast member Marcello Hernández.
