Foxing go all out on their fiery new single "Hell 99"

St. Louis, Missouri's Foxing have come out with a new single featured on their upcoming self titled album. The new track is called "Hell 99", and it is as aggressive and loud as the band has ever been. The new single is a stark juxtaposition from what the band had released earlier this month with their first single, "Greyhound". While "Greyhound" took time to build over its 8 minute length, "Hell 99" smacks you in the face the instant it starts with the opening lyrics:

“1999 / Stuck until the end / Suffer till the end / Masochistic trend / Carson MTV / Bizkit NYE / FUCK FUCK FUCK!”

Foxing is no stranger to noisy, heart-pounding rock, but this is about as screamo as they have ever been.

Guitarist Eric Hudson has stated that the song is about "burnout and fatigue." Hudson continues further:

“It is meant to capture frustration and mania with repeating cultural trends, the way a cat video and a horrifying news story can be viewed in successive moments, and the mental fatigue and shame that you are left with in taking it all in.”

This point is further conveyed through the nightmarish Foxing-directed music video that was just released for the single.

Foxing will release September 13th via Grand Paradise, the band's own label. You can also check out "Greyhound", the other single released for the album here.

Back in July, the band had also announced that they would be going on the "TBA Tour" with TBA and TBA.
