Brady Ebert, co-founder and former guitarist of Turnstile, has been arrested in Montgomery County on charges of second-degree attempted murder and first-degree assault, according to county arrest records. He is currently being held without bond.
UPDATE: The person Ebert allegedly targeted was the father of Turnstile lead singer Brendan Yates.
The circumstances surrounding Ebert’s arrest have not yet been publicly disclosed. He is scheduled to appear in court later this morning.
Turnstile formally announced Ebert’s departure from the band in 2022 following their headlining Glow On tour, though he was notably absent from the run itself. In the months that followed, it was revealed that drummer Daniel Fang had filed a temporary peace order against Ebert in Maryland’s District Court, which was ultimately dismissed due to insufficient statutory basis for relief.
More recently, Ebert had been involved with the Baltimore hardcore project The S.E.T., who parted ways with him amid concerns regarding his behavior and public commentary. Following that split, he announced a new project under the name Experience.
This remains an ongoing legal matter, and further details have yet to be made available.
