Connecticut jam rock band Goose fired their drummer, Jeff Arevalo, not long ago, declaring that "behavior in [his] personal life" rendered him incompatible with Goose. The firing came after Arevalo took a "mental health break" from their touring cycle in January.
With Goose making the drummer's temporary leave permanent behind his back, Arevalo has now taken to social media to respond. On March 24, he wrote, in part, "I do not feel that I was rightly respected, valued, or properly utilized in my time with the organization." That said, Arevalo noted that he was "extremely grateful" to be a part of the Goose fold, and agreed "that we should go our separate ways." Read the statement on Instagram below.
Arevalo also declared the conclusion of Goose side project Orebolo, in which he played upright bass. "However, I'll be holding tryouts for two new guitar players at a future date," he added.
Goose are set to release their new album, Everything Must Go, on April 25th. Pre-order here.
