Flight of the Conchords to reunite at Netflix is A Joke Fest

Flight of the Conchords is back.

For the first time since 2018, and the first time in Los Angeles since 2016, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie are reuniting their famous comedy band as part of the 2026 edition of Netflix Is A Joke Festival.

Taking to social media to break the news, the band revealed that they will be appearing at the Festival on May 9th at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, marking their first live performance together under the moniker since their Eventim Apollo residency in London, England, midway through 2018:

Netflix is a Joke Presents: Flight of the Conchords' first Los Angeles appearance in over 10 years at The Greek Theatre on May 9th, performing at the 2026 edition of the Netflix Is A Joke Festival. The Conchords’ will perform fan favorites, and classic banter. This will also be the duo's only US performance for 2026. Tix on sale Friday.

Initially forming all the way back in 1998 when the duo were students at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand, the group grew in prominence a decade later, first with a BBC Radio 2 series before landing an eponymous series with HBO that ran for two seasons. The Conchords signed to Sup Pop, released four albums, and released five different film projects, from a half-hour comedy special in 2005, to a pair of documentaries, and ultimately their final work, Flight of the Conchords: Live in London, a combination special and album in 2018.

Since placing the project on pause, Clement and McKenzie have been busy with their own projects, with the former acting in over a dozen projects, including What We Do in the Shadows, which he developed into a show with FX, and the latter composing music for The Muppets and A Minecraft Movie.
