Swedish death metal act Fimbul Winter have released their first single, "Mounds of Stones", taken from their fiery debut extended play What Once Was, due out November 14.
Check out the Svartna Film-produced official video for song below:
Not only does the band feature three former members of Viking metal juggernauts Amon Amarth, but the seasoned berserkers enlisted bassist Sebastian Ramstedt (Necrophobic) to provide the low end for one hell of a debut.
They go on:
"We've poured our passion, energy, and heart into this track. It's more than just a song. It's our way of showing the world what we're capable of, and we can't wait for people to finally hear it. 'Mounds of Stones' tells the story of a figure shaped by suffering, who eventually turns his pain into vengeance. He isn't remembered by name, only by the silence and stones left behind."
The band also recently signed with booking agency Death Over Rome, so expect this band to tour the European continent in the near future. Hopefully, we will get some American dates in the future as well.
Note: Due to the current tariff situation, the band is not able to fulfill physical orders to the United States. Europeans and the rest of the world can pre-order here.
