Field Medic shares new song "castle peaks" off forthcoming album out August 8

Kevin Patrick Sullivan – aka Field Medic – is gearing up to release his brand new LP, surrender instead, which is due August 8.

We've already heard first single "MELANCHOLY", but now Sullivan has shared an animated lyric video for new song "castle peaks". Watch below:

Sullivan has been on a particularly prolific streak as of late, as surrender instead follows quickly on the heels of three past releases: 2024's boundless & true, and 2023's twoger dope girl chronicles, and light is gone 2.

Despite this heightened activity, Sullivan insists he's been taking it easy on himself, explaining how that led to the new record:

"Part of my recent mental break from the music business was taking the entirety of 2024 off from touring. For the longest time, my fiancé wanted us to take a vacation to Europe, so we finally did that spring. I spent the trip writing short observations & poems all along our European route, and when I came home, I pieced them together over a guitar part that I'd been slowly composing over the last few months. The verses are comprised of the poems describing what I observed literally, but the chorus speaks to the constant search for our place in the world, and how changing locations doesn't always take us away from ourselves."

In October, Sullivan will go on tour supporting Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners. Find all those dates down below.
