Fever Ray shares revamped rendition of "I'm Not Done", plus Therapy Session music video

Karin Dreijer's longtime project Fever Ray has long been a masterclass in both musical and visual storytelling – from the shadowplay of the project's 2009 self-titled debut; to the ribald hedonism of 2017's Plunge; and finally to 2023's Radical Romantics, Dreijer's delightfully twisted paean to love and romance.

During the There’s No Place I’d Rather Be Tour for Radical Romantics, Fever Ray had been performing a more sweeping, uptempo version of the debut's "I'm Not Done", which became a fan favorite. This version is released as a single today, along with a cheeky video featuring Fever Ray's many personas over the years – the white-suited Casanova, the wannabe-womanizer Romance, clockwatcher Main, witchy Snusis, and axe-wielding bombshell Demona Lisa.

"Performance boosting guru" Ebba, who acts as the mediating therapist, had the following to say:

“After following these troubled characters, I knew something had to be done and with my Human Improvement Diploma, Mindset and Performance Boosting certificate, I was the right person for the cause. I convinced the Swedish government that it would cost less tax money to teach these undeveloped people some basic skills than to set them free. It was a win-win. Turn sadness into gratefulness! Why walk in circles when you can follow a straight line?”

On July 8th, the second part of the "Therapy Session" will be revealed. Whether it will feature a revamp of a different Fever Ray track is yet unclear.

In August last summer, Fever Ray had to cancel tour dates because of Dreijer's health issues. “I’m so sorry to say that I have to cancel next weekend’s shows,” they wrote at the time. “After our last show at Way Out West (which I probably shouldn’t have done cause I was feeling unwell) I ended up in hospital with bacterial pneumonia. I couldn’t oxygenate myself so they kept me for 7 days with oxygen and intravenous antibiotics. Now my infection is gone but I have a long recovery getting my lungs back. I was so much looking forward to our tour finale and seeing you all again. But we will be back! Thank you for listening.”
