Metallic space rockers Failure have announced the release of a new documentary about the band called Every Time You Lose Your Mind, available June 27 via Hulu and Disney+.

Check out the trailer below:

Directed by the band's Ken Andrews, the feature-length documentary follows Failure from its inception to the present day and features interviews with Hayley Williams, Margaret Cho, Steve Albini, Maynard James Keenan, Tommy Lee, Jason Schwartzman, Butch Vig, Rick Beato, and others.

“Our fans have connected with the themes of depression and addiction in our music,” notes Andrews. “The film crystallizes those connections and, ultimately, communicates hope. We’re a band that faced a specific set of challenges and somehow managed to survive and thrive. It's a story about resilience, finding ways to cope, and not giving up.”

In celebration of Every Time You Lose Your Mind's release, the doc is getting a theatrical premiere June 26 at the Harmony Gold Theater in Los Angeles, where the band plans to perform an acoustic set before heading for a couple of festival appearances later this year.

Failure Live Dates:

06/26 Los Angeles, CA @ Harmony Gold Theater
09/20 Louisville, KY @ Louder than Life Fest
10/03 Sacramento, CA @ Aftershock Fest

Earlier this year, Williams performed an acoustic cover of Failure's 1996 song "Daylight" with Andrews at a Los Angeles benefit concert, announcing to the crowd that Failure inspired her to play guitar.

"Failure was me and Zac (Farro) and Taylor (York)'s favorite band. Failure was the band that made me really want to be in a band and play guitar," she said onstage.

Plenty of other bands have taken inspiration from the alt-rockers, including A Perfect Circle, who interpreted "The Nurse Who Loved Me" on their 2003 album Thirteenth Step.
