Erika de Casier drops surprise new album, 'Lifetime'

Copenhagen-based artist Erika de Casier has followed up last year's album Still with a surprise new full-length, Lifetime, which dropped earlier today via her own Independent Jeep label. Written and produced by de Casier alone, the laidback, ambient pop album was mixed by NYC-based Alonzo Vargas (Eartheater, Gaika) and mastered by Joe Laporta (Beabadoobee, Kilo Kish).

De Casier had been low-key teasing new material in the run up to Lifetime's official release, with a very limited run of untitled, context-free cassette tapes briefly available via Bandcamp. Lucky fans who were fast enough to grab one were thrilled to discover a whole new album. For those who weren't fast enough and still want a physical copy, a vinyl edition is available to pre-order with an estimated delivery date of June 10.

Lifetime tracklist:

1. Miss
2. You Can’t Always Get What You Want
3. Seasons
4. You Got It!
5. December
6. Delusional
7. The Chase
8. Moan
9. The Garden
10. Two Thieves
11. Lifetime

De Casier plays in the Finnish capital of Helsinki tonight as part of Helsinki Music Week, and has a couple European dates lined up for November:

04/11 Paris, France @ Le Trianon
07/11 London, UK @ Roundhouse *
08/11 Barcelona, Spain @ MIRA Festival

* with Oklou and Malibu
