In an unsurprising feat for the 34 year old pop star, Taylor Swift's coffee table book capturing her record-breaking Eras Tour has reportedly sold over 814,000 copies in its first two days.
The book avoided traditional publishing houses by being sold exclusively at Target, releasing at the retailer in tandem with the first vinyl pressing of her 31 track deluxe album, THE TORTURED POETS DEPARTMENT: THE ANTHOLOGY. The 256 page book retailed for $40, but many fans spotted mistakes in the book, including blurry images, grammatical errors, and missing pages; a disappointment for such a blockbuster release.
According to Circana BookScan, the book is already has the second highest single-week sales for a nonfiction book with only two days of tracking. The book to beat is A Promised Land, the first volume of former president Barack Obama's memoirs. It is well within the realm of possibilities that Swift breaks Obama's record.
Swift will be closing out the nearly two year long Eras Tour in Vancouver this weekend, which she cited as "...the closing of the most extraordinary chapter of my life so far," on stage during a show in Toronto.
