Dua Saleh shares new track “pussy suicide”

Alan Pedder

A month out from the release of their debut album I SHOULD CALL THEM, Sudanese–American R&B artist and Sex Education actor Dua Saleh has shared new single, “pussy suicide”. It's the fourth track to be released ahead of the album, following “want”, “time and time again” and the serpentwithfeet-featuring “unruly”.

"These lyrics rlly came from the heart," Saleh wrote on TikTok last night, adding "if ur seeing this 🪽 fate brought me into ur life & you need to hear this song."

Writing in a press release for the single, Saleh says:

“Sometimes people won’t admit that they’re toxic. This is a song about being with somebody who was previously toxic that makes you question their actions. When you stay with this person, you’re feeding the fire because you feel uncomfortable with the dynamics. I was trying to not pursue those feelings, but had difficulty moving on. Eventually, I learned to have more respect for myself.”

I SHOULD CALL THEM drops on 11 November via Ghostly International, and follows a string of acclaimed EPs and last year’s Travis Scott collab “MY EYES”.
