Fresh off of allegedly firing her agent for his part in getting Irish hip-hop outfit/Pro-Palestine activists Kneecap canned from Glastonbury, Dua Lipa took over the Kia Forum for four nights in Los Angeles. The first two nights found her surprising the crowd with one classic cover apiece – Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain" on Saturday and the Mamas and the Papas' "California Dreamin'" on Sunday. (She also did Daft Punk's "Get Lucky" in France.)
Lipa's also been bringing out special guests: in New York last month she had Lenny Kravitz come up and sing his own "It Ain't Over 'Til It's Over" with her, and Nile Rodgers sang and played guitar on his own disco classic with Chic, "Le Freak." L.A. was no different; this time, she had Lionel Richie come out on Tuesday to sing his Hot 100-topping "All Night Long (All Night)", and on Wednesday she had Gwen Stefani on hand to duet on No Doubt's eternal "Don't Speak".
