In a post on Instagram, the band shared a photo of Carpenter behind their kit, captioning the photo:

“Welcoming Isaac Carpenter as the new drummer of Guns N’ Roses.”

Carpenter is the sixth drummer for Guns N’ Roses, joining after previous drummer Frank Ferrer amicably parted ways with the band on Wednesday. He also succeeds original drummer Steven Adler, Mat Sorum, Josh Freese, and Bryan ‘Brain’ Mantia.

Carpenter is best known as the drummer for Washington-based hard rock band Gosling (previously known as Loudermilk) between 1995 and 2006. In 2004, they would support Velvet Revolver on tour, a band featuring former Guns N’ Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan, and Matt Sorum. Since 2009, Carpenter has drummed for Loaded, the side project of Guns’ bassist Duff McKagan. 

Isaac will join the band on their Asian and European tour this summer. See the tour dates below.
