Drowning Pool's "Bodies" soundtracks AEW's Anarchy in the Arena

When AEW officially unleashed Anarchy in the Arena at the Desert Diamond Arena for the 2025 running of Double or Nothing, fans knew they were in for something special.

One of the wrestling promotion's most popular concepts, the match usually features music in one form or another, but when Kenny Omega requested the Revolutionary War-style theme of the Young Bucks be replaced by some real music, "I'm So Excited" by The Pointer Sisters began to soundtrack the carnage, much to the disapproval of "The Best Bout Machine."

Requesting a microphone, Omega called out the production truck, requesting something that's a bit more apropos for the situation.

"That doesn't quite fit the mood. How about some 2000's alternative rock music?" Omega asked. "If you know the words, sing it along, let's get this party started, play that s**t."

The song in question was "Bodies" by Drowning Pool, a song that has been used in professional wrestling dating all the way back to the ECW on Sci Fi days of WWE. The song was the official theme of December to Dismember, and was played at SummerSlam 2021 and ECW One-Night Stand in both 2005 and 2006.

Fighting along to the nu metal banger, AEW produced highlight after highlight, from Jon Moxley attacking Powerhouse Hobbs with a fork, to Kenny Omega back-flipping off the top of an entrance tunnel, to the arena's sound system eventually being "destroyed" to end the song after multiple runs through the number.

After brawling for 35 minutes, including a series of staple gun spots that will be talked about by fans for a very long time, the winner of Anarchy in the Arena was the babyface team of Omega, Swerve Strickland, Willow Nightingale, and The Opps, but in the end, the real winner was Drowning Pool, as they've now soundtracked another piece of professional wrestling history.
