On Monday, March 10, Drake posted a cryptic message on Instagram alongside a carousel of photos featuring selfies and concert footage. While the images seem routine, the caption stands out with an unrelated and ominous note.
It reads:
"U know I grew up non confrontational and always treated this game as a sport where my pen won gold, but my these days the podium has been hard for all of us to ignore. I understand that this next chapter may leave you feeling uneasy, but I hope you see my honesty as clarity not charity that answers some questions especially about the unanswered texts you’ve been sending me."
After dropping $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, his collaborative album with PartyNextDoor last month, Drake appears to be shifting into solo album mode. During a February stop on his Anita Max Win tour, he teased fans about a new project in the works.
Now, speculation is running rampant that he might be gearing up for another round with the Super Bowl half time hosting Kendrick Lamar. While many saw him take an "L" in their last exchange, it looks like Drake may be ready to step back into the ring for round two.
