Drake is having a tough year when it comes to legal battles. Earlier this month, his notorious defamation case against Universal Music Group was dismissed by a federal judge. Now, according to Casino Beats, the rapper is getting hit with a lawsuit of his own, and this time it's about his relationship with the online casino, Stake.us.
The case was filed by a man in Missouri named Justin Killham, who claims that the defendants – which include Drake, Stake.us, and streamer Adin Ross – engaged in "deceptive, fraudulent and unfair" practices that violates the state's gambling laws. Killham says he lost a significant sum of money gambling on Stake.us "as a result of Defendants’ wrongful trade practices."

The complaint alleges that, in order to get around Missouri's comparatively strict gambling code, Sweepstakes Limited – who operates the widely popular online casino Stake.com – created Stake.us as "a virtual clone of Stake.com, rebranded to mislead Missouri regulators and consumers into believing it offers harmless gameplay instead of an unlawful gambling platform."
The suit also claims that Drake and Adin Ross fraudulently manipulated Missouri users to flock to Stake.us by advertising the site through livestreams and social media posts, going on to say that:
"[W]hen Ross and Drake purport to gamble online with Stake.com, they often do not do so with their own money despite telling the public in Missouri and elsewhere the opposite. This fact is not shared with the public in Missouri by Stake and/or Ross and/or Drake. These acts are deceptive, fraudulent and unfair and violate Missouri law."
This marks yet another chapter in Drake's turbulent relationship with the online gambling site. This past August, the "God's Plan" rapper accused the company of blocking him from withdrawing funds. Earlier this year, he claimed on his Instagram story that he lost $8 million dollars in a single month on Stake, raising suspicions that the megastar is not gambling with his own funds, but rather with "house money" provided by Stake itself.
Neither Drake, Ross or Stake have responded to requests for comments.
