Drake calls out NBA star DeMar DeRozan at Toronto Raptors game

On November 2nd, Drake went to Scotiabank Arena for a game between the Sacramento Kings and his hometown team the Toronto Raptors. Drake watched in support as Raptors legend Vince Carter got his jersey officially retired and hung from the rafters. Shortly after however, he expressed on the game's broadcast that he has no interest of seeing former Raptors star DeMar DeRozan's jersey ever being put up beside Carter's.

Drake, who is also a Raptors global ambassador, joined TSN commentators Matt Devlin and Jack Armstrong on the broadcast where had some choice words for the former Raptor. After Drake gave his respect to Carter for being the first Toronto Raptor in the franchise's history to have his jersey retired, Drake said it's "unfortunate we’re playing this goof tonight,” about DeRozan.

Of course, it's important to note just where this animosity comes from. DeRozan appeared in the music video for Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us", which was one of the many diss tracks Kendrick dropped about Drake in the midst of their viral, fierce feud that was the talk of the music industry earlier this year. DeRozan also danced onstage while Kendrick was performing at the Pop Out concert in California. It seems Drake doesn't have much love for DeRozan anymore because of his ties to Kendrick.

Drake then said on the broadcast, "if you ever put up a DeRozan banner, I'll pull that thing down myself."

Also, at one point during the game, Drake said "F**k outta here, p*ssy" as DeRozan walked by Drake on the sidelines.

At the end of the game in the post-game press conference, a reporter asked DeRozan his thoughts on Drake's banner comment, to which DeRozan said, "he’s going to have a long way to climb. Tell him good luck.”
