After cranking out five hazy, weed-drenched doom metal albums, Polish doom heavyweights Dopelord have announced their signing to Season of Mist and are said to be working on an upcoming sixth studio album.
"We are beyond excited to announce that we are joining Season of Mist!" Dopelord says. "We are honored to be working with a label that has such a rich history and supports so many amazing bands. Get ready for some heavy, psychedelic doom that will take you on a journey deep into your mind. See you on the road!"
Since first budding in 2010, Dopelord has released five albums: Magic Rites (2012), Black Arts, Riff Worship & Weed Cult (2014), Children of the Haze (2017), Sign of the Devil (2020), and Songs for Satan (2023).
Music journalist JJ Koczan of The Obelisk hailed Songs for Satan as "a masterpiece of devil-worshiping stoner doom metal. The ideal version of itself." You can purchase the record here via Blues Funeral Recordings.
The aural occultists plan to celebrate their 15th anniversary next month by returning to Desertfest London and hitting the road for five shows across their native Poland before supporting English legends Orange Goblin for their final show in Finland later this year.
